We are happy to announce that German Shepherd Sherry that was trained for Sergei Kosnikov has successfully passed its exam. The exam was split in two parts. First, the most important one, was work of the dog on route.

Sherry took Galina Aksenova, its Guide Dog Trainer along one of the routes they learned. Galina wore light blocking glasses so that she could not assist the dog. Galina only gave commands and reviewed obstacles that Sherry indicated. So, it was all up to the dog's training. Sherry was good!

Sherry took Galina from the building in which Sergei lives along the streets and a dirt road, past kiosks without paying any attention to passing people or stray dogs. The dog took its trainer across a few busy streets onto the bridge across a railway and successfully finished the route on a bus stop. Along the way Sherry religiously warned about all obstacles (mainly steps and road border stones). The dog was walking around puddles and avoided collisions with passers-by.

She also picked up and gave the cane that Galina "accidentally" dropped. The second part – general obedience course - Sherry also finished successfully. The most responsible part of Galina's work is starting – to teach Sergei and Sherry to understand each other.
